At the Army-2024 military-technical forum, the Tula Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician A.G. Shipunov presented another novelty - a 12.7-mm civilian modification of the "anti-material" rifle OSV-96, which received the index MTs-567. It is called anti-material because it can be used not only to destroy manpower, but also to destroy material assets (for example, armored vehicles).
The new rifle is designed for the 12.7x108 cartridge (including the sniper SPC-12.7, armor-piercing incendiary B-32, BZT and BS).
The accuracy of fire from this rifle reaches 0.5 MOA (minute of angle), which is a figure comparable to ORSIS T-5000/M rifles.
The effective firing range of the MTs-567 is up to 1800 meters against manpower in body armor, up to 2500 meters against material objects, and up to 1500–1700 meters against lightly armored vehicles.
The MTs-567 self-loading carbine has successfully passed combat tests and has been put into mass production.
