Rusal has developed a new alloy for high-speed trains, the company's press service reported.
The created alloy 1343 of the aluminum-silicon-magnesium system is an improved analogue of alloy 6005. It is used in car building, including the bodies of high-speed trains.
The new alloy features an optimized chemical composition. Its fatigue life is 12-15% higher than its analogue, and its strength is 5% higher.
It is worth noting that the production of high-speed trains will be established at the Ural Locomotives plant (part of the Sinara Group). The launch of the HSR-1 line (Moscow – St. Petersburg) is scheduled for 2028.
