Модернизация: остекление на российские самолёты МС-21 и SJ-100 станут производить ещё быстрее

ONPP "Tekhnologiya" has improved the magnetron sputtering system

The magnetron sputtering system is an invention of ONPP "Tekhnologiya" (part of Rostec Group) for the production of glazing from organic materials with multifunctional thin-film coatings, which does not involve heating the blanks during their application. It has been in operation since 2017.

Specialists of "Tekhnologiya" have adapted the equipment to work at temperatures of 300 degrees Celsius and made a number of fundamental changes to the design of the equipment. This allowed the application of indium-tin oxide films on glazing made of silicate glass, forming an electric heating coating on its surface – another type of structural optics used in aircraft construction. The electric heating coating applied to the glass forms the necessary heating zones on its surface. Thanks to this, the glazing installed on aircraft retains its optical properties at low temperatures.

In addition, the magnetron sputtering system received modernized in-chamber equipment and a number of other improvements. And for high-performance processes, the company's specialists developed a digital drive for moving products in a vacuum chamber. Thus, the coating application time was reduced by more than half.

Thanks to the reduction in production time, we have the opportunity to increase the production of aviation glazing if necessary. The company is fully ready to meet the needs of civil aircraft construction in structural optics products, including in the context of the growth of the state defense order.

Earlier this year, ONPP "Tekhnologiya" announced the start of serial production of domestic glazing for the MS-21 cockpit. It was noted that in 2024, manufacturers intend to supply the customer with 12 sets of such products. By 2030, production will be expanded to more than 70 sets per year.
