В обход новых правил: мошенники предлагают серые схемы для аренды электросамокатов

This could lead to user data leaks

Fraudsters have created shadow schemes for renting electric scooters, ignoring the rules of kicksharing services. The desire to use an illegal service can lead to the leakage of personal data and virus infection of the device. This was reported by specialists of F.A.C.C.T (developer of technologies for combating cybercrime).

Users were offered to buy an already active account with points in the loyalty program. Information about this appeared on 25 resources, in social networks, messengers and bots.

Fraudsters also offered promotional codes for discounts, accounts with loyalty points, as well as assistance in creating a client account for a kicksharing service. Some offers included accounts of kicksharing company employees with unlimited trips. The cost of such offers ranged from 2 to 20 thousand rubles.

Buyers of such dubious services were sought among minors or users with accounts previously blocked in rental services.

Specialists of F.A.C.C.T warned users not to try to circumvent laws or save money on official services. This can lead to unpleasant consequences.

In the case of installing a supposedly kicksharing service application, there is a risk of infecting your device with malware, which will allow cybercriminals, for example, to gain remote access to your device and steal confidential data.

In addition, the company noted that the offered accounts may be stolen. Their use can even lead to criminal liability.

Earlier www1.ru reported that SIM users were under close scrutiny by the traffic police.
