The Russian company "Integral Robotic Technologies" (IRT) has developed a promising optoelectronic reconnaissance drone, the R-22. The UAV was initially adapted for use in the Arctic, as in a potential theater of military operations.
R-22 is a fixed-wing drone with a twin-boom lightweight tail section and small-sized servo drives for controlling the elevators. Its cruising speed is 80 km/h.
The UAV has successfully passed field tests. Now, the developers are considering the possibility of its use in combat operations. It is expected that the R-22 will conduct optoelectronic reconnaissance of strategically important enemy targets with a flight range of up to 1800 km.
At the same time, when using a repeater, the effective range of the command and telemetry channel can reach 120 - 160 km. In the case of using a jam-resistant satellite channel, the range of the channel is unlimited.
Prior to this, "Integral Robotic Technologies" presented a UAV made of foam plastic "IRT-Scout".
