The paint on the bumpers of LADA Granta cars has started to crack and peel off. AvtoVAZ has announced a recall campaign, under which the parts will be repainted or replaced free of charge. The exact number of cars affected by the recall is unknown.
If the application of the primary paint coating is visible under the peeling - the bumper was previously repainted at the factory - then replacement and painting of the declared bumper is required. Painting will be carried out according to the technology in place at the enterprise.
This is far from the first, and apparently not the last, recall campaign for AvtoVAZ. Recently, Vesta owners wereexpected at the service center to replace the left engine mount, and in November 2023 they wereinvited to the service center to update the ECU software. In addition, the LADA Vestahas a rubbing fuel tank.
Nevertheless, Granta cars have not been subject to recall campaigns recently. Apparently, they are assembled better.
