A batch of 23 T-90M "Proryv" tanks has been transferred to the motorized rifle unit of the Central Military District (CMD), the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
The department noted that the T-90s have proven themselves well in modern armed conflicts. It is expected that the tanks will increase the combat capabilities of the motorized rifle units of the Central Military District.
The key difference of the T-90M is the presence of a turret module of a new design. The tank also received multilayer armor.
The armament of the T-90M is represented by a 2A82-1M 125 mm caliber gun. The combat vehicle has a "Kalina" fire control system.
The T-90M is protected by the "Relikt" modular dynamic protection complex of the third generation developed by the Research Institute of Steel. Mobility is provided by an engine with a capacity of 1130 hp.
