GAZ has extended the rights to use the company logo of a deer until 2034, according to the Rospatent database. The logo adorned Volga cars.
The car factory plans to revive the production of passenger cars under the Volga brand. Talks about this have been ongoing since last year. An unnamed foreign partner, apparently from China, should help the Nizhny Novgorod residents. There are rumors that the GAZ facilities may start assembling the Changan Raeton Plus sedan, which belongs to the D-class. There is no official confirmation of this information yet.
In April, GAZ registered the Volga trademark. Its logo does not look like the nameplates that adorned the classic Volgas. It is not yet known which nameplate will adorn the revived passenger car from GAZ, if this car ever appears at all.
