The Russian company JSC "Tetis Pro" has created a remotely operated unmanned underwater vehicle (ROV) "Marlin-KN". The robot received a classification certificate from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).
The certificate was presented on April 16 at the 23rd International Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Complex "Neftegaz-2024".
The new classification direction was created in response to a request from the industry to systematize technical requirements ensuring the safe operation of ROVs. The development of the direction is carried out in close cooperation with participants in the marine robotics market.
The underwater drone has sufficient power to carry out various kinds of work at depth — from research to search and rescue activities.
Earlier it was reported that robots will be sent to work in flooded mines in Russia.
