Imported goods in Russia may rise in price by 15%. The Ministry of Finance advocated for lowering the threshold for duty-free online purchases

\"Yandex.Market\" and Ozon have already received a warning from the department

The Ministry of Finance rejected the initiative to maintain the current threshold for duty-free import of goods into the country for personal use at the level of 1,000 euros. From April 1, 2024, it may be reduced to 200 euros.

Major marketplaces, including \"Yandex.Market\" and Ozon, have received corresponding warnings from the department. The Ministry of Finance explained that \"the circumstances that served as the basis for introducing the norm have largely been exhausted.\" At the same time, the final decision will be made by members of the government.

Market participants believe that if the threshold is reduced to 200 euros, the cost of imported goods may increase by 15%. Representatives of business circles have already expressed their concern to the Ministry of Finance.

It was previously reported that \"Yandex Market\" started cooperation with stores from Asia and the EAEU countries. At the same time, the minimum delivery time from abroad is a week.
