The need for Tu-214 passenger aircraft, which are produced at the Kazan Aviation Plant, is 150 units per year. This volume needs to be produced until 2032. The corresponding data was announced at the board meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
It is known that contracts have already been signed for 20 aircraft, agreements have been signed for 67, and an application has been received from potential buyers for 61. At the same time, of the three aircraft that the Kazan Aviation Plant was supposed to hand over to the customer by the end of 2023, only one is in the final stage.
Currently, the plant plans to reach a production of 20 aircraft per year. 41.8 billion rubles will be allocated to the Tatarstan enterprise for the serial assembly of the Tu-214. At the same time, airlines insist on the production of the Tu-214 with a cockpit for two crew members, and tests of this version of the aircraft will begin only in two years.
Earlier, Tupolev PJSC stated that for the development of the Tu-214 line in Kazan, workshops with a flow production line of the conveyor type have begun to be built. At the same time, the company's management intends to develop new versions of the Tu-214.
