The president of Rostelecom, Mikhail Oseevsky, spoke about the creation of a universal domestic remote control for unmanned aerial vehicles by the company. Interestingly enough, it will operate under the management of the domestic OS Aurora.
Today, a number of manufacturers produce smartphones and tablets using this operating environment, and we, of course, seeing the boom in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles for various applications, took notice and saw it possible to start work on creating a universal remote control for various types of unmanned aerial vehicles using protected smartphones or tablets with the Aurora operating system.
The head of Rostelecom outlined the features of the remote control. According to him, it will be a whole complex of technical means based on a protected smartphone or tablet managed by Aurora.
We are currently at the stage of creating a prototype of such a universal remote, actively interacting with leading manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles.
When controlling drones, the remote will allow the use of various modern technologies with the application of AI. Thus, intelligent switching between frequencies, scanning the frequencies themselves, computer object recognition in real-time, trajectory calculations can be implemented. Tasks for the distant future include the introduction of two-way communication, as well as the implementation of the concept of swarm management of UAVs
And the next track, which a number of experts also talk about today, is the creation of communication management centers for interactions with so-called mosquito unmanned fleets, consisting of coordinated groups of unmanned vehicles.
We remind you that earlier it became known that by the end of 2023, new smartphones, laptops, and tablets on the Aurora OS will appear in Russia.
