The Russian Helicopters holding, part of Rostec, has presented a modernized multi-purpose module Ka-226T. In the new version, the maximum operating altitude has increased to 6.5 km, and due to the increased fuel tank volume, the flight range has also increased.

Lightweight materials have been applied in the fuselage, and a crash-resistant fuel system has been installed. The upgraded Ka-226T has received a new flight navigation and radio communication equipment suite.

The feature of the Ka-226T is its ability to quickly change the configuration right at the aerodrome. In half an hour, the helicopter can be converted from a passenger one to cargo or sanitary.

The Ka-226T is adapted for flights in the mountains and over the water, its coaxial design ensures compactness and high maneuverability. The helicopter is resistant to side wind and has high rate of climb. The Ka-226T can land on extremely limited in size landing pads, including on sea vessels.
