At the "Army-2023" forum, which is already concluding its work in the Moscow region, the "High-Precision Systems" holding presented the "Astarta" rifle in 12.7-millimeter caliber. It is called anti-materiel, as "Astarta" can be used not only to destroy manpower, but also to destroy materiel (for example, armored vehicles).
Today, our new 12.7-millimeter "Astarta" anti-materiel rifle is being presented to the general public for the first time. According to our experts, the rifle can be called a "killer" of the well-known American Barrett M82 rifle in this class, based on the totality of its characteristics.
The developers also point out the advantages of "Astarta" over the American Barrett: the Russian development is lighter and cheaper, but at the same time, it is not inferior in accuracy and reliability.
