A new version of the Russian self-propelled artillery unit "Msta-S" was presented at the "Army-2023" forum. The 2S19M1-155 modification is distinguished by the installation of a 155-mm howitzer.
According to official data, such a combat vehicle is capable of hitting targets at distances up to 30 km. And if you use high-explosive fragmentation shells with a gas generator, the range increases to 41 km. The howitzer also allows the use of Krasnopol guided high-precision ammunition, which disables not only stationary but also moving objects.
The rate of fire of the 2S19M1-155 "Msta-S" can reach up to eight rounds per minute. The combat weight is 43 tons, the maximum speed on the highway is 60 km/h. The range is 500 km, the crew is five people.
