Russian Supersonic Civil Business Jet Under Development Since 2018 Named "Strizh"

Aircraft Demonstrator to Appear in 2029

The Director General of the National Research Center "N. E. Zhukovsky Institute", Andrey Dutov, revealed the name of the future Russian supersonic passenger business jet – it will be called "Strizh".

The creation of "Strizh" is an even more distant prospect than the launch of the Russian Orbital Station: the station will be launched into space as early as 2030, and by 2029 only a demonstrator of the aircraft will appear (previously it was said that the demonstrator would appear in 2027). According to Dutov, the design of the aircraft does not imply the presence of glazing.

To remind, what is now known as "Strizh", has been developed by the United Aircraft Corporation in conjunction with a number of scientific institutions (including, of course, the National Research Center), since 2018.
