S-400 «Triumph»: The best anti-aircraft missile system in the world

The S-400 «Triumph» long-range anti-aircraft missile system has been in service with the Russian army since 2007. It includes a combat control center, a radar complex, a radar station, a transport-launching unit, and other optional equipment.

The S-400 is capable of hitting aerodynamic targets at altitudes from 10 m to 30 km and at distances from 2.5 to 380 km.

One division of the complex can simultaneously hit up to ten targets with its twenty missiles. If the SAM system enters the attack in full force, it can simultaneously aim 160 missiles at 80 targets of various speeds, trajectories, and dimensions: from aircraft to missiles.

• System deployment time from the stowed position - 5-10 min, time to bring to combat readiness from the deployed state - 3 min

• Service life of ground systems - at least 20 years, anti-aircraft guided missiles - at least 15 years
