Rosaviatsia reported on the progress of flight tests of Russian passenger aircraft SJ-100 and MC-21. According to the agency, as part of the SJ-100 certification, 233 out of 294 planned flight tests have been completed, and for the MC-21-300 — 115 out of 301.

The status of aircraft certification was discussed at a meeting of the certification headquarters at the Coordination Center of the Russian government. Representatives of industry and industry science participated in the meeting chaired by the head of Rosaviatsia, Dmitry Yadrov.

In addition to the SJ-100 and MC-21-300, aircraft manufacturers reported on work on the Il-114-300 and Il-96-300. The agency noted that certification flights are continuing.

Yadrov urged to strictly adhere to the deadlines for certification tests and reduce risks that could lead to their delay. According to his assessment, both the aviation industry and passengers are awaiting the completion of the work.

Rosaviatsia also expects that the arrival of new aircraft will contribute to improving the transport connectivity of Russian regions, including the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East, as well as increasing the volume of intra-regional air transportation.
