The Irkutsk Aviation Plant is systematically making adjustments to its production process to accelerate the pace of MS-21 aircraft production. One such example was a change in the technological passport for luminaire installation, where the number of signatures was reduced 40-fold, according to the plant's general director, Andrey Soynov.

According to him, the ultimate result of such projects is to reach the assembly rates (up to 36 per year) that were initially declared.

We must organize production processes so that they are all synchronized, and each element of the large system works at the same speed.
Andrey Soynov, General Director of IAZ

Soynov reminded that by 2027, IAZ aims to build one aircraft every two months, with a plan to reach 15 units in 12 months.

We will then increase the production speed to 36 machines, a level set by long-term state planning documents.
Andrey Soynov, General Director of IAZ

Earlier, it became known that the Irkutsk Aviation Plant managed to assemble 10 MS-21-310 airframes. Another 4 aircraft will be transferred to the flight test station by the end of 2026.

Earlier,  "Pervy Tekhnichesky" explained the structure of demand for MS-21 from customers and analyzed the reasons why plans cannot be fulfilled quickly.
