The Aeroflot Group expects to keep most of its Airbus and Boeing narrow-body aircraft in operation until at least 2030–2035, despite the gradual increase in the share of Russian aircraft. This was announced by Andrey Napolnov, the company's Investor Relations Director.
According to him, the average age of the narrow-body fleet is about 11 years, so a significant part of the aircraft has a substantial remaining service life. Aeroflot expects these aircraft to continue operating flights into the next decade.
Most, at least of the narrow-body fleet, will remain in operation – both in 2030 and 2035.
Currently, the group's fleet includes 212 narrow-body and 59 wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
In addition, Aeroflot operates 78 domestic regional Superjet 100s. The company also leases four Airbus A330s with crews from iFly.
It is known that Aeroflot plans to purchase 200 MC-21s by 2033. "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" calculated what pace PAO Yakovlev needs to achieve to meet such demand.
