14 Buttons and Icy Screen: AvtoVAZ Reveals Hidden Features of Lada Vesta Multi-Steering Wheel

Cruise control, limiter, and on-board computer are controlled by short and long presses

AvtoVAZ has detailed the functionality of the multi-steering wheel installed on top-end Lada Vesta versions. As reported in the "Poladim s LADA" Telegram channel, the steering wheel features 14 buttons and levers. Some of them are designed to reduce driver fatigue on long journeys.

Key functions are grouped into two blocks. On the left are cruise control, which maintains a set speed, and a limiter, which helps avoid camera fines. Also located there are buttons for steering wheel heating, voice assistant control, and phone calls. The right side is responsible for multimedia: switching tracks, radio stations, adjusting volume, and muting sound completely. Separate buttons control the digital instrument panel — scrolling through the on-board computer menu and displaying the navigation map full screen.

Some buttons support two press modes: short and long. The first switches the display between navigation and the on-board computer, the second changes the instrument panel mode. The on-board computer can also display ice warnings and remind the driver to press the brake pedal when starting the engine.

Previously, AvtoVAZ had already equipped Vesta with keyless entry, remote engine start, and integrated online services into the multimedia system. The sports version of the model, which arrived at dealerships in late March, received extended equipment, including an AI assistant. In fact, the factory is methodically saturating the budget car with options that were recently available only in higher-class foreign cars, and is betting on a digital ecosystem packaged into a familiar steering wheel.
