Astra Group has released version 1.1 of the Astra Migration tool for automatic migration from Windows to Astra Linux. The company introduced the tool itself in April 2026 – it allows for the parallel migration of over 100 workstations. The update includes an operations library: an administrator can pre-configure the necessary actions for different stages of the transition and then run them during computer migration.

The library collects all such operations in one place. The administrator can use factory operations or create their own, copy them for other tasks, and change the necessary parameters – for example, to work with a different group of workstations. For each operation, a reaction to an error can be set, and further editing can be prohibited if necessary.

Astra Migration 1.1 also introduces automatic workstation inventory. The system automatically collects information about hardware, media partitioning, installed programs, and users, freeing the administrator from manually inspecting each device. This data is uploaded in the form of four types of CSV reports.

The Astra Linux installation settings have also been changed. Before starting the installation, the administrator can select the system language, component composition, specify administrator data, and the installation source. In addition, a disk partitioning profile can be selected from the standard Astra Installer templates.

Filters and sorting for computers, scenarios, and migration waves have been added to the interface. The transition can be launched simultaneously in several departments and at different sites – the system takes into account time zones. When planning a migration, it shows how many Astra Linux licenses are already in use and how many are still available.

The update also supports deployment in Voronezh mode – an enhanced security level of Astra Linux, which is used at critical information infrastructure facilities. According to the developers, automation allows migration to be organized tens of times faster than manual transition.
