The Uralvagonzavod Concern conducted a full cycle of tests of the updated BREM-80 armored recovery vehicle. Previously, these vehicles had already been delivered to the military, but now the designers have refined them taking into account combat experience to improve crew safety.

The mechanized coupling allows hooking up broken equipment without leaving the vehicle. Exiting the BREM under drone fire was one of the most dangerous moments for repair crews. This risk has now been eliminated.

UVZ specialists tested the interference immunity of the new sixth-generation communication in conditions of electronic suppression, when conventional channels are jammed.

The designers improved the armor against HEAT rounds, drones, and artillery shell fragments. The mechanized coupling was tested under extreme loads when towing heavy armored vehicles over rough terrain.
