An increase in the production of prosthetic and orthopedic products has been recorded in Russia. By the end of 2025, the growth was 10.5% compared to 2024. This was stated by Ekaterina Priezzheva, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, during a session of the "Bioprom-2026" forum in Gelendzhik.

The volume of domestic production of functional units for limb prosthetics amounted to 64 thousand units by the end of 2025.
In monetary terms — over 6 million rubles, an increase of almost 16% over the year, the Deputy Minister added.
This refers to bionic and mechanical prostheses for upper and lower limbs. Among the developers and manufacturers of these products are "Motorika" and the Moscow Production Association "Metallist" (part of Rostec).
Sports prosthetics is also actively developing in Russia. The leader in this field is the Center for Innovations in Traumatology and Orthopedics (CITO, part of Rostec). Over the past 4 years, CITO has produced over 1000 products for sports, including prostheses for running and weightlifting. Since 2025, the center has been providing military personnel with products for skiing, snowboarding, and other sports.
