Flights to the UAE and via Iran are returning: Rosaviatsiya has lifted restrictions on flights

Airlines have once again been allowed to sell tickets and operate routes in the region

Rosaviatsiya has canceled its recommendation to suspend ticket sales for flights to the United Arab Emirates and has also lifted restrictions on the use of Iranian airspace. Details were disclosed by the agency.

The decisions were made taking into account the position of the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Russian Foreign Ministry. Nevertheless, relevant specialists continue to analyze the situation with civil aviation operations in the Middle East.

If necessary, additional changes may be made to the flights of Russian airlines, Rosaviatsiya warned.

However, it is reported that carriers are not yet resuming flights to the UAE. Aircraft for the coming weeks are being used on other routes. In addition, carriers fear a possible resumption of the armed conflict in the Middle East.

The airspace of a number of countries in the region was closed at the end of February amid an escalation of the conflict. From April 16 to May 15, Rosaviatsiya allowed flights to Israel to be operated from 07:00 to 01:00 Moscow time.
