If we want to get an airplane in two years, we need to produce it today. If we strain all the forces of the Voronezh Aircraft Plant, it will be able to produce one aircraft per year. Maybe, if you make a superhuman effort, two aircraft per year. That's all the production.

The head of the flight safety service RunAvia, Andrey Patrakov warned that the problem with long-haul airliners in Russia has worsened. Production of Il-96 series aircraft will not greatly solve it, since it is a piece production.

The Technosphere Russia publication reported that in Russia the last 10 years only five Il-96-300 units were built, and no aircraft has taken to the air from the enterprise in the last two years.
