Russia has learned to build airplanes in just 6–7 years, while leading Western aircraft manufacturers spend twice as much time. This was stated by the head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov.
According to him, ambitious tasks have been set for the aircraft industry.
We can already say with confidence that we make cars within six to seven years. If we take, for example, Boeing and Airbus, it takes them about 10–12 years.
Yadrov added that the key difference between domestic aircraft manufacturers is that their aircraft are entirely of their own production.
And I want to say with confidence that we have learned to make fully import-substituted machines. We have formed a component base. Components, assemblies, power plants are made inside our country, which Airbus and Boeing do not have.
The head of Rosaviatsiya expressed confidence that the Il-114-300, SJ-100 and MS-21-310 will receive a type certificate in May.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Yadrov said that the MS-21-310 had completed only 30% of the planned flight program before certification. Apparently, in order to obtain a type certificate in May, flights need to be accelerated.
It is known that the key customer of the MS-21-310 is Aeroflot with 200 aircraft. "The First Technical" calculated that Yakovlev would have to build 28.5 aircraft per year to fulfill these plans. That is, a brand new aircraft should fly out of the workshop every 13 days.
