Certification tests of domestic passenger aircraft MC-21-310 and SJ-100 continue at the Syktyvkar airport.
According to the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), on February 16, 2026, the import-substituted MC-21-310 aircraft with registration number 73055 performed a training flight along the Zhukovsky — Vorkuta route. After completing the task, the aircraft landed for the first time at the airport of the capital of the Komi Republic — Syktyvkar.
At the same time, flight tests of the short-range SJ-100 are taking place at the same airport. Such flights in difficult northern conditions allow specialists to check the operation of systems and equipment in real climatic and geographical scenarios, which is considered an important part of the certification program.
Both aircraft are in the final stage of certification tests. According to the plans of Rosaviatsia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the certification of the import-substituted MC-21-310 should be completed by the end of 2026, after which serial deliveries to airlines are expected to begin. A similar schedule is provided for the SJ-100.
