The import-substituted MC-21-310 airliner continues certification, with a completion level of 72% (+2% per week). This was reported by the analytical blog "Flying Together."
The flight took place last Thursday, February 5, in Zhukovsky. Then, the aircraft with tail number 73055 spent about 3.5 hours in the air. The plane accelerated to 800 km/h and climbed to a height of 11,000 m.
Rosaviatsia issued Yakovlev PJSC approval for the main change to the MC-21-310 type certificate, providing for the import substitution of composite materials in the power elements of the keel and stabilizer caissons. Now the plane will fly only with domestic composite materials.
The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, announced specific deadlines — they intend to complete MC-21 certification by the end of 2026.
