The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, together with the aviation industry enterprises, is working on measures to significantly reduce the selling price of the first serial batches of domestic passenger aircraft MC-21, Tu-214 and Il-114-300. This was announced by the head of the department, Anton Alikhanov, during his speech in the State Duma.
We have done quite a detailed job with Aeroflot, with other consumers, and we are significantly ready to reduce the price from the actual price that is developing for the first batch.
According to the minister, the current cost of the first aircraft is formed taking into account the high costs of launching mass production and developing technological processes. To adjust the pricing policy, aviation enterprises have intensified work to optimize production costs and are implementing a comprehensive program to improve labor productivity on assembly lines.
At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the Government of the Russian Federation, is analyzing the possibility of expanding the long-term portfolio of orders for Russian airliners. Increasing the planning horizon will allow for a more accurate calculation of the final cost of a unit of production due to the effect of scale and stabilization of component supply chains.
As a reminder, the United Aircraft Corporation plans to conclude an agreement with Aeroflot airline for the supply of 90 MC-21 aircraft in the first quarter of 2026. This was announced by the head of UAC Vadim Badeha
