Russia has reached a rate of delivering more than 100 vessels per year. In 2025, 131 vessels were handed over to customers, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.
In civil shipbuilding, we have reached an annual rate of delivering more than 100 vessels. In 2025, the industry repeated the record of 2024, having handed over 131 vessels.
The head of the department added that the expansion of the icebreaker fleet continues. In 2025, the third serial nuclear-powered ship «Yakutia» with 60 MW was commissioned, the fourth and fifth icebreakers of project 22220 remain under construction.
In the national project, our priority is the development of the segment of large-capacity sea vessels. Last year, the lead gas carrier Arc7 was commissioned under a foreign company's project, and the construction of two more will be completed this year.
Alikhanov noted that the preliminary design of the domestic gas carrier has already been completed, and the development of a technical project will start in the near future.
Earlier it became known that the cost of shipbuilding in Russia is three times higher than in China.
