United Aircraft Corporation (OAK, part of the state corporation "Rostec") intends to significantly increase the pace of aviation equipment production in 2026. This was stated by the company's CEO Vadim Badekha during the NAIS-2026 forum.
Last year, compared with 2024, we had growth in new aircraft of just under 40%. This year, compared with 2025, we will grow by another 25-30%.
According to the head of OAK, this increase will be a logical continuation of the record results of previous years, when the emphasis was placed primarily on fulfilling the state defense order.
The following types of aircraft are meant:
- Military aviation: Su-35S multirole fighters, Su-34 frontline bombers (in modifications including the Su-34M), as well as other combat aircraft, deliveries of which are steadily increasing within the framework of the state defense order.
- Civil aviation: the Tu-214 medium-haul aircraft, the import-substituted SJ-100 (Superjet-100) short-haul aircraft, the promising MC-21 mainline airliner, and the Il-114-300 regional turboprop.
It is in 2026 that the start or significant expansion of serial deliveries of key import-substituted models in the civil segment is expected.
The production increase will allow OAK not only to meet the growing needs of the Russian Ministry of Defence, but also to accelerate the renewal of the fleets of Russian airlines, especially amid the implementation of large-scale programs for the development of domestic civil aviation.
