Domestic airlines are ready to conclude contracts for deliveries of the Il-114-300 regional airliner if its specifications are guaranteed by the United Aircraft Corporation (OAK). This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev.
According to him, OAK chief Vadim Badekha had spoken about plans to sign the first agreements with carriers at the end of the current month — on February 23.
Airlines are ready, provided that OAK guarantees the specifications, to sign such contracts. I think that would be the right thing to do.
The Il-114-300 should also be localized in India, Badekha emphasized.
Preliminary supply contracts have been signed for the aircraft. We also believe it should be localized, and such an opportunity exists.
The necessary documents for issuing the Il-114-300 type certificate have been submitted to Rosaviatsiya, Rostec said. The airliner has already completed the basic certification program.
At the end of January, the Il-114-300 took part in the international aviation exhibition Wings India. Rostec signed a contract for the supply of six aircraft to the private Indian company Flamingo Aerospace.
