The Kyrgyz state airline Asman Airlines is considering the possibility of purchasing new Russian aircraft. This was reported by Manasbek Samidinov, chairman of the board of directors of the parent holding Airports of Kyrgyzstan.
The head of the holding held talks in Moscow with representatives of the United Aircraft Corporation (OAK).
It is fundamentally important for us to strengthen the Asman Airlines fleet with modern and reliable aircraft.
Samidinov did not specify which particular types of aircraft were being discussed. OAK is currently completing certification tests of the import-substituted versions of the medium-haul MS-21-310, the short-haul "Superjet," as well as the regional Il-114-300.
OAK has already signed an agreement on the delivery of the first six Il-114-300 to India and is holding talks on the localization of "Superjet" production within the republic.
Earlier, "Pervyi tekhnicheskii", in a major feature, named the countries with which the Russian aircraft industry could establish cooperation under Western sanctions.
