The new regional import-substituted Il-114-300 aircraft has completed the basic program as part of certification. This was reported by the analytical blog "Letaem vmeste".
Two aircraft are taking part in the tests, having completed 16 flights. Analysts assessed the certification progress at 94%. By the end of 2025, the Il-114-300 had completed the basic certification program.
It remains to complete the planned certificate extensions for flights in icing and low-temperature conditions.
Recall that the Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft; the plane will replace the outdated An-24, as well as foreign Bombardier Dash 8 and ATR 72 aircraft. In January 2026, the Il-114 is expected to participate in the Wings India 2026 air show in Hyderabad, India. Tentatively, serial deliveries of the airliner to domestic carriers will begin in 2026.
