The Ministry of Transport of Russia sees no reason to increase the maximum speed on toll roads from the permitted 130 km/h. This was announced by the head of the ministry, Andrey Nikitin.
According to the minister, taking into account the non- штрафуемого speed threshold of 20 km/h, the maximum permitted speed turns into almost 150 km/h.
I believe that 150 km/h is more than enough.
The minister also noted that the department is considering the possibility of increasing speed limits on those routes where they are below 130 km/h. As an example, he cited the Tavrida highway in Crimea, where drivers are allowed to drive at a maximum speed of 90 km/h. In some sections, it may be raised to 110-120 km/h.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the traffic police supported the idea of increasing the permissible speed on some highways.
