Leading Russian oil and gas companies have begun mass implementation of unmanned systems with artificial intelligence elements developed by "ZALA Aero." The new system, called IRRA, is already used at strategic facilities of the fuel and energy complex and radically transforms approaches to environmental control and protection of critical infrastructure.
Equipped with the IRRA hardware and software complex, ZALA unmanned aerial systems (UAS) are capable of round-the-clock video surveillance—both in the visible and infrared ranges. The main advantage of the new platform is the built-in artificial intelligence algorithms that analyze the transmitted image in real time, automatically recognize and classify objects, and transmit structured information to the ground station, rather than "raw" video data.
According to field tests, over 70% of significant events are recorded and identified immediately during the flight. This reduces the time to detect incidents and speeds up the response of operational services by several times.
