On the direct line with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin was asked about import substitution in the digital sphere and the domestic Max messenger. The question was asked by blogger Valentin Petukhov better known online as Wylsacom.
One of the most significant and discussed events this year was the national messenger Max. But we know that there are a huge number of messengers on the market that people already use. Was the creation of a national messenger such an important and necessary event, and will Max be able to compete достойно with existing messengers?
Putin noted that competition is needed and it will be. The head of state stressed that with regard to Telegram and other messengers, the only problem is one thing: compliance with Russian laws.
The problem with these messengers is that the political leadership of their countries did not give them the opportunity to comply with our laws, imposing restrictions. This is what caused the corresponding actions to slow down, speeds, and so on. I am sure that Max will also have competitors.
The head of state noted that our country had all the tools in the digital sphere, except for a messenger.
Now we can say with confidence that Russia has achieved complete digital sovereignty.
According to the head of state, Russia is one of the three countries in the world that has such sovereignty. The other two countries are the USA and China.
