New Clever Way Found to Disguise "Flying" T-80BVM Tanks

UAVs allow to detect weak spots in the combat vehicle's protection from the air

Checking the camouflage of Russian main battle tanks from the air has become a mandatory procedure for crews. This was stated by the commander of a T-80BVM tank with the call sign Sergeant.

According to him, his own drone allows him to see the equipment from a height and eliminate unmasking signs in time. This clever method helps to assess the tank's stealth in cover.

Before finishing the camouflage, we raise a drone above the treetops, see how the tank is visible from the road, and how much it merges with the terrain from above.

When moving in difficult terrain, the T-80BVM driver uses improvised means to increase the vehicle's cross-country ability, such as a saw for pruning logs.

The T-80 is the only Russian tank with a gas turbine engine. The vehicle was adopted by the USSR Armed Forces in 1976. The tank was nicknamed "flying" in the West for its famous acceleration to 80 km/h.

Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Т-80 set a new firing range record — 11 km.
