Today ZAKB is a key player in the Russian market. The company accounts for 60% of the production of industrial nickel-cadmium batteries.

Last year, the plant produced more than 90 thousand batteries, including products for modern Ivolga 4.0 electric trains and the Avrora branded train.

In May 2024, ZAKB LLC (part of Transmashholding, TMH) bought the bankrupt ZAVOD AVTONOMNYKH ISTOCHNIKOV TOKA LLC (Saratov Alkaline Battery Plant). The structure of TMH included the buildings and structures of the plant, as well as industrial equipment and other assets.
