Россия создаст собственный Starlink: но не в космосе, а на земле

The "GEOCOSMOS" System Will Provide Communication Even in Conditions of Strong Interference

The new Russian geoinformation communication and navigation system of the new generation "GEOCOSMOS" is capable of becoming a ground-based alternative to satellite constellations. It will provide reliable communication and navigation in conditions where traditional technologies are powerless, said Alexander Zakharov, chief designer of ZALA company.

According to him, the basis of "GEOCOSMOS" is a large-scale network of 12 thousand ground stations connected by fiber-optic channels to synchronize signals.

Equipped with software-defined transceivers (SDR), the stations will be able to operate in a wide frequency range (from 30 MHz to 8 GHz), which will allow the system to adapt to interference, weather anomalies and deliberate attacks.

If we cannot place our Starlink in space, let's build it on earth. Let's make a ground-based Starlink for flying objects. Not flying for ground-based, but ground-based for flying.

The key advantage of "GEOCOSMOS" is a comprehensive information security system and independence from external factors thanks to domestic components.

The complex provides secure data transmission with minimal delay for controlling UAVs and autonomous transport, and is also able to prevent collisions in real time.
