The latest Su-57 fighter jet has received an advanced weapon control system that is very easy to use. This was stated by test pilot of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, Hero of Russia Sergei Bogdan.
According to him, the pilot still has a basic control stick, with the help of which you can select the area of responsibility. However, this is not all the possibilities.
You can also assign a target and zoom in with your finger, which is quite convenient. Just like on a regular computer.
As a reminder, the control stick is an aircraft control handle, which is often called a joystick or steering wheel. It allows the pilot to control the pitch and roll of the aircraft, as well as use weapons. In the Su-57, the control stick is located between the legs.
Earlier, the cockpit of the Su-57E was shown from the inside for the first time. It turned out to be even simpler than on the Su-27, but most of the technologies are hidden inside the fuselage, and space for the pilot has been freed up.
