УЗГА модернизировала беспилотник «Форпост‑Р» повысив грузоподъёмность и дальность полёта

Experts Rebuilt the Drone's Empennage and Switched to a Composite Frame

The Russian unmanned aerial system "Forpost-R" has undergone modernization, which has increased its effectiveness in performing reconnaissance and strike missions.

According to the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA), the key changes concerned the wing and tail of the drone: the designers abandoned the metal frame in favor of an all-composite power caisson, which reduced the complexity of assembly and increased the reliability of the structure.

The new wing with an increased wingspan has improved aerodynamic characteristics, and thanks to the redesigned structure, the aircraft is able to carry a larger payload while maintaining the same flight performance.

A representative of the plant emphasizes that the design update reflects the general trend in the development of medium- and long-range UAVs — the transition to composites, increased payload capacity, and adaptability to different modules.

It is also important that the "Forpost-R" already has combat experience and can be based at airfields, which makes it one of the key domestic UAVs of this class.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Kalashnikov is refining the "Quasimachta" drone to counter enemy electronic warfare systems.
