The Uralvagonzavod concern of the Rostec State Corporation has delivered another batch of TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" heavy flamethrower systems, equipped with a new drone protection system, to the Russian army. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
The delivery is timed to coincide with the Day of the войск радиационной, химической и биологической защиты ( войск РХБЗ - Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops). On one of the vehicles, employees of the enterprise inscribed "За Кириллова!" (For Kirillov!) in honor of the former head of the войск РХБЗ, who made a significant contribution to the development and modernization of these systems.
In addition, Uralvagonzavod is completing tests of an updated version of the heavy flamethrower system based on the T-80 tank. The modernization will increase the firing range and improve the accuracy of hitting targets.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that UAC showed the armament compartments on the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter for the first time.
