The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) has registered more than 1,200 inventions of engines since 2020, aviation power plants, as well as engine control devices. This was reported by Rospatent.
UEC has become the leader in patents in the field of engine construction. Of the corporation's enterprises, the largest number of patented inventions belongs to the employees of Ufa-based UEC-UMPO.
In total, from 2020 to 2025, more than 3 thousand innovations were registered in the aviation industry.
The aviation industry in Russia demonstrates high innovation potential. From 2002 to 2024, over 16 thousand inventions were registered in this industry.
The trend towards technological independence stimulates inventors and scientific centers to create solutions that can take the industry to a new level, UEC noted.
As a reminder, the corporation is working on PD-8 engines for the Superjet, PD-14 for the MC-21 and the promising PD-35, for which there is no aircraft yet.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia will earn billions of dollars for the aviation industry by producing SJ-100 abroad.
