The S-70 "Okhotnik-B" reconnaissance and strike drone, developed by the Sukhoi company (part of the United Aircraft Corporation), has entered mass production. This was reported by Avia.pro.
Prototypes of the aircraft were tested in 2019–2023. In January 2024, production was expected in the second half of the same year, and full deliveries to the troops - no earlier than 2025.
The S-70 "Okhotnik-B" was built according to the "flying wing" scheme using stealth coatings and composite materials to reduce visibility.
It is known from open sources that the drone with a wingspan of 20 m weighs about 20 tons, is equipped with an Al-31F or Al-41F turbojet engine. The S-70 "Okhotnik-B" can accelerate up to 1000 km/h with a flight range of 6000 km.
Presumably, the aircraft is intended for joint operations with Su-57 fighters, performing reconnaissance, strike and suppression of air defense systems.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a Russian tank was equipped with incredibly dense anti-drone protection.
