Exercises were held on board the large landing ship "Peresvet", which is part of the Pacific Fleet, to ensure the safety and protection of the ship while it is anchored in the open bay of Peter the Great Bay in the Sea of Japan.
The military personnel practiced scenarios related to protecting the ship from mines and underwater saboteurs. Combat post crews conducted firing at the conditional location of enemy combat swimmers, practiced warning grenade throwing, and used small arms to eliminate small surface objects.
Special attention was paid to the defense of the ship against unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned boats simulating enemy actions. Artillery and machine-gun teams improved their skills in detecting targets, distributing and redirecting fire. During the exercises, shipborne 25-mm 2M-3M artillery mounts and 12.7-mm large-caliber machine guns were used.
"Peresvet" is a large landing ship of Project 775M as part of the Pacific Fleet.
