The Russian company "Machine Vision Systems" from Sevastopol demonstrated the latest domestic developments for the needs of the Russian army. Among the presented products are light bulletproof glass and a radar capable of identifying all types of existing drones. The products, entirely manufactured in Russia, are designed to replace foreign counterparts.
Ultra-light bulletproof glass
The company has begun supplying armored glass created by Crimean engineers to Russian law enforcement agencies. These glasses are lighter and cheaper than their counterparts, but at the same time have high protective characteristics.
The existing counterparts are manufactured within a few weeks, and our glass is produced in one shift. The product is supplied immediately with a frame and the necessary equipment. At the same time, there is no need to drive the equipment to the repair base, two soldiers can install new glass in any conditions, even on the line of contact. The technology is innovative, with import substitution.
In the basis of the development is a composite material, its composition is patented. Tests have shown that glass with a thickness of 3.5 centimeters can withstand a shot from a high-explosive fragmentation grenade launcher without the appearance of fragments that can hit personnel.
Drone and mine detectors
The fourth generation of drone detectors called "Ten-4" has already been created in Sevastopol. The latest model is capable of covering the entire spectrum of frequencies used by unmanned aerial vehicles. The development is completely domestic, including all elements and microcircuits manufactured in Russia.
It detects all drones in a wide range of 258 thousand megahertz and promptly informs the soldier about the approach of the UAV so that he has time to make a decision. We worked for about a year on improving the detector to "see" all the frequencies of FPV drones, which are constantly changing
Externally, the device looks like a small radio, does not take up much space in a backpack. When a UAV is detected, it emits a sound signal, and when approaching, it starts beeping more often.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new Russian radar for satellite systems has been tested on board an aircraft.
