Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev personally observed the testing of promising weapons at the Kapustin Yar training ground. BM-30-D "Spitsa" is a remotely controlled combat module that is installed on various chassis. It provides observation, search and attack of ground or air targets at a distance of up to 2 km. The module allows you to fight manpower, lightly armored vehicles and unfortified buildings.

The firepower of the "Spitsa" is based on a 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon, capable of firing both single shots and bursts with a variable rate of fire. The ammunition includes high-explosive fragmentation, armor-piercing tracer and incendiary shells, which makes it possible to effectively engage a wide range of targets. To combat more protected objects, it is possible to install an AGS-17 "Plamya" or AGS-30 automatic grenade launcher.

The Spitsa fire control system includes television and thermal imaging channels, a laser rangefinder and an automatic target tracker. This ensures high accuracy of aiming and hitting targets at any time of the day and in difficult weather conditions. Remote control allows the operator to be in a safe place, minimizing the risk of being hit.

Thanks to its versatility and high firepower, the BM-30-D "Spitsa" can be installed on various platforms, including armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and even stationary firing points, significantly increasing their combat potential. The module is easy to maintain and operate, which makes it a reliable and effective tool in modern combat operations.

It was previously reported that, while at the training ground, Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev inspected the "Sarma" MLRS, "Malva" self-propelled guns, the VU2U kamikaze drone and the GSHG-7.62 machine gun.
