Aerocomposit in Ulyanovsk has organized a new production of curved composite panel blanks for the interior of the MC-21-310 and Il-114-300. This was reported by the local publication Media73.
The company is the only one in Russia that manufactures load-bearing structural elements for aviation from composite materials.
The company is also building a "black wing" for the MC-21 passenger aircraft.
The Ulyanovsk region supports business growth, including in the aviation industry, using cluster policy ("Composites without borders", "Machine tool builder"). Moreover, thanks to an active investment policy, all previously suspended foreign assets have been successfully relaunched under Russian jurisdiction.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov noted that after the introduction of sanctions,Aerocomposit had to develop its own materials, conduct the entire complex of their tests, make a wing out of them, and test the wing itself.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that MC-21-310 with PD-14 engines and SJ-100 with PD-8 will be certified in 2026.
